I am so excited to be a part of today’s launch of the

Bridging The Gap Campaign!!

This amazing Campaign is the first of its kind, where Women Of Midlife are united with a Millennial counterpart proving once and for all that We Are Stronger Together!

Two Hundred Influencers standing as one, realizing the difference in years sets no boundaries on our passion to share our strengths as we tear down walls to old mindsets and create a new dimension for Community Over Competition!

Friends, I am so happy to introduce you to my Millennial partner, the beautiful Jaime Rae of Raelyn’s Roulette!

Jamie and I met on the phone several weeks ago.  We are both busy bees and agreed to keep it short and sweet – yet somehow our fifteen minute exchange grew closer to an hour as we began to share who we were and how we got there.

A tiny little thing (she’s right at 5’), Jaime is mommy to Landon (a busy two year old angel with a mop of adorable curls) and wife to Christopher, who is currently deployed serving our country in the Air Force Reserves.  Needless to say, this mama has her hands full raising baby and blog!

Jaime is a self-proclaimed introverted extrovert, a lefty with some mean dance moves and Mexican dishes are the only recipes she knows.  Originally from California, her little family just recently moved to the suburbs of D.C. – wow, talk about culture shock!

Jaime is the real deal.  She was truly authentic and one of the most humble women I’ve ever met! (She has 86K followers on Instagram but didn’t want to dwell on numbers – for her it was more about an honest connection).   As we shared about our journeys, the good and the bad, I was wowed by the quiet strength in this young woman.

She began her blog, Raelyn’s Roulette, in March of last year and to say it’s taken off is an understatement!  The name comes from a combination of her parents’ names (Raelyn), which is her good luck charm, and the endless revolving wheel of life and fashion (Roulette).

I, however, doubt luck had much to do with this her success. This cute petite writes every other day posting about fashion, lifestyle and the ins-and-outs of motherhood.  She believes her strength lies in her ability to “keep it real” as she aims to truly connect with her readers.  Jaime says, “I consider my audience as my friends. It is as simple as that. Most know me for my behind the scenes stories, humor, witty comments, honesty, and sometimes my much needed edit button. My fashion style is pretty basic and my readers relate in both life and beauty shares.”

And share she does.  Not only does Jaime open the door to her secrets on motherhood, fashion and beauty, she is just as quick to share all she’s learned about this world of social media.  Openly offering valuable To-Dos and To-Don’ts about how to create, grow, monetize and sustain your social media platform.  That, dear friends, is not done every day, and certainly not for free!!  To Jaime, its just another way she share a bit of her world with her friends – one more avenue to that connection she is so very determined to create.

As you glance over Jaime’s Instagram gallery, you’ll find there is something to love about every look she styles – some simply mommy, some with a little edge and others flowing and feminine.  Every look is served-up with this Latina Beauty’s glowing skin, gorgeous dark eyes and fabulous silky mane.   Seriously – Such A Beauty Inside And Out!

Jaime was inspired to join the Bridging The Gap through her strong friendship with a mid-life member of the Campaign.  Friends early on in her blogging career, this person has never allowed her to use excuses such as “I am too busy or I feel like I can’t take on anymore projects.”  Her mentor suggested she be a part of the campaign – reminding her it was the first of its kind in the history of social media. Jaime immediately knew she wanted to be a part of such a monumental event.

I found it so interesting that though 20+ years separate us in age, we have quite a bit in common.  From finding that perfect balance as we juggle priorities to creating a real connection with those we touch through social media – I think our commonalities certainly outweighed the differences.

Yes, the more I learned about this young beauty, the more I realized how easily I could see the two of us grabbing coffee and shopping the day away (we both count Nordstrom, Loft, Zara and Target as some of our favorite spots!).

Through our connection, this Millennial confirmed what I have always known to be true – age truly is just a number.  It was a fresh reminder to always be true to who you are – Age has absolutely nothing to do with it!

I am so thankful to Bridge The Gap with this Beauty and look forward to a future where ALL women in every demographic Stand Stronger Together!
