Inspiration For The Heart

I heard a statement this weekend that really stopped me in my tracks. I immediately knew I had to share it with y’all – here it is…

“Sometimes the miracle is simply the grace to go on.” Pastor Steven Furtick

That may not sound profound but it truly hit home with me. Some seasons in life, all you can do is put one foot in front of the other. And I always say, you can do just about anything if you can see the finish line. Just knowing there is an end to whatever difficulty you’re in most often gives you the drive to keep pushing.  But what about those times when there is no end in sight . . .  or you honestly have no idea to where or for how long…..

When I was diagnosed with cancer, I had no idea where I was in the whole scheme of it all – and that was so scary!

Was it curable? Was it contained? Was it treatable? And even if it was, would I be able to withstand the treatments? And would the treatments do the trick or would this horrible disease just keep growing????

I prayed. You, and so many other wonderful friends and family, prayed, prayed and prayed some more! Every doctors visit I held my breath, hoping for a miracle. But my miracle didn’t show up in the way I had envisioned. And although God continued to show up every single time, I almost MISSED MY MIRACLE…

Every single day, I felt the presence of God – He never left my side. Every day my Hope was stronger than the day before. And I learned to trust in God in a way I could have never trusted before. My Miracle Was Simply The Grace To Go On!!

If you’re in a difficult season, my advice to you is simple – DON’T MISS THE MIRACLE!!

Realize that some times, maybe more often than not, the miracle may not look exactly like you imagined. Sometimes the miracle is simply the grace to go on as you trust Him more.

I hope y’all have a fabulous week! See ya right back here THURSDAY!!
